There are 2 challenges this week to test your ability with Inventor.
The first challenge is to take these five pieces shown below, download them to your computer, and save them as red piece, black piece, blue piece, yellow piece and green piece. (The images link to the .ipt (in) file)
then use an assembly (.iam) file to constrain them to be a 3 inch cube so that if one piece is moved, all pieces are moved.

The second challenge is to create a 3d puzzle of your own using 5 or 6 pieces that you have designed and actually 3d print them to see if you can assemble the physical model as easily in real life as you can on the computer.
You will create your puzzle cube to be a total of 1 inch on each side, then give me 5 or 6 separate .STL files with each piece designed individually. I will then put them on 5 or 6 different flash drives so that you can print each piece in a different color.
It will be yours to keep. But, remember that a 1 inch square peg will not fit into a 1 inch square hole - they can on your computer, but will occupy the same physical space when printed. You will need to compensate for that in your final print.
