If you are from outside our district, requesting access does not work. All of my files are set to "shared" with anyone whom has the link, the videos are being blocked at the district level on both sides. If you have your teacher email me at cjohnson10@sandi.net, I will gladly share all of my files. PLEASE do not "request access" it does not do any good.

5.3.7 Martian Speedster
This is the start of a 4 week project - For Day 1 you need to:
Step 1) ***Download*** a copy of 5.3.7 MartianSpeedsterDesignFabrication into your Download folder - using the Google Forms version messes up all of the tables and images for some reason. You will need to drag this Word document into your Google Drive once it has been completed, but you will need to save it onto your computer at the end of each class. ***Hit Ctrl+S to save, Word does not save automatically***
Step 2) Read the first 4 pages of instructions so you will have an overview of everything we are going to be doing over the next few weeks.
Step 3) Read the first 4 pages a second time, this time confirming the numbers in the Martian Speedster Specifications Sheet as you go. You are just looking at the "required" specifications as you will not know the actual measurements until you actually build it.
Step 4) Research and draw sketches on paper to get ready for the sketching software on your computer.
For Day 2, you need to have completed your 3 drawings:
For Day 3, this is how you put your speedster into Inventor:
This is how you add a printer:
For Day 4, this is how you print out your speedster:
For Day 5, this is how you put your printout onto your speedster:
Are you ready for the wood shop?
DO NOT CUT within 1/4" of any part of your air hole or either of your axle holes. This will leave you room to sand down to minimum specifications without as much risk of disabling your own speedster.
PLEASE THINK THROUGH EACH CUT CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU CUT - YOU CANNOT UNCUT WOOD
